Please!” He begged. “I haven’t d-done anything wrong! I-I may not be gold but I’m still worth s-something!” Then you saw a turquoise-glowing one bring out an axe, looking down at the writhing statue. With wide eyes, you watched as the group suddenly grabbed the Stone Watcher, forcing him onto his feet before promptly shoving him to the ground, holding his limbs down. “Guys, it’s okay.” You stood up and put your hands out. “He’s a frien–wait what are you doing?!” You smiled back at him, although before you could ask him something else, you heard heavy footsteps and looked to see some frenzied Gold Watchers approaching. “No, that won’t be necessary.” The Stone Watcher reassured you, smiling a bit. “You’ve gained quite the reputation around here.and…I-I appreciate you coming here, t-taking the time out of your evening to talk to me.” ![]() If there’s anyway I could help.or maybe I can at least talk to them about-” “Well.I mean.I’m human, and they seem to like me.” You pointed out. “But.I’m sorry they’ve been treating you awfully. He made you first aware of the statues’ movement patterns. You recall seeing him before, more specifically when you first entered this realm to gather soul shards. But he was purely made of stone, with not a single piece of gold on him. What did surprise you, however, was that while you were exploring the hedge maze, you came across a Gold Watcher who was sitting by the fountain. Obviously they were all old English names. You’ve learned of the different names they gave themselves, including those glowing turquoise-colored ones that roamed in the darker parts of the manor. ![]() ![]() To your surprise, they weren’t all just a collecting hivemind of sentient statues despite their appearances being mostly the same.
